Job Title: Dietitian Consultant

Welcome to Southbridge Care Homes, a leading provider of Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes in Ontario. We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian Consultant to join our team and provide expert support to our homes.

Job Summary:

The Dietitian Consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality nutritional care and support to our residents. This includes overseeing dietary functions, consulting with medical staff, and reviewing menus and recipes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nutritional care plans for residents
  • Consult with medical staff to determine nutritional needs and therapeutic diets
  • Review and provide input on seasonal menus and recipes
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions or practices in dietary functions
  • Ensure compliance with nutritional care and hydration program standards
  • Provide training and education to dietary staff
  • Lead quality control initiatives and maintain records and statistics
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
  • Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • 3+ years of experience in a long-term care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2021 and Retirement Homes Act
