JOB DESCRIPTION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnosis:
* Assess the condition of the timepiece for evaluation. Determine the underlying issues based on client inquiries. Choose the appropriate service aligned with the brand's guidelines while: Addressing client needs. Suggesting solutions to rectify the problem. Identify necessary spare parts for the repair of the assessed item. - Dismantling:
* Carefully disassemble the timepieces and place all removed components into the repair box: Detach the strap or bracelet. Separate the movement, dial, and hands from the case elements. Disassemble the watch case components.
- Case Preparation:
* Assemble and prepare the watch case components for encasing the movement. Verify and ensure the case's waterproof integrity. - Movement Repair:
* Evaluate and decide on the best approach to repair any required calibres, excluding those that necessitate restoration. Examples of movements to be repaired: ETA IWC ETA P ETA Utilize or create suitable tools or methods to address issues that may arise during the repair process. When necessary, tackle challenges related to limited (or unavailable) spare parts by refurbishing existing components of the timepiece. - Encasing:
* Install the dial and hands before encasing the movement and sealing the watch. Conduct an initial Quality Control check to confirm that the piece is functioning correctly. - Maintenance and Organization of the Workshop:
* Adhere to RNA and brand specifications: Tools, Technical procedures, Work assignments, Quality Standards & Standard Time of Operations (STOs). Maintain Tools and Equipment: Ensure all tools are calibrated and kept to a high standard. Ensure proper organization and accessibility of all tools and equipment. Keep a clean, organized, and safe working environment. JOB PROFILE
Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Certification or diploma in watchmaking. Required experience: - At least 5 years of experience in watchmaking is preferred. Experience with luxury brands is advantageous. Proficiency in watch and jewelry polishing is a plus. Technical skills / abilities: - Exceptional dexterity and concentration to manage small components, with a keen eye for detail. Capability to follow directives and consistently deliver high-quality results. Proficient in analyzing and resolving issues using appropriate processes and tools available.
