Concrete Craftsmanship Expert

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Competition Concrete Inc. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete surfaces.

• Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
• Compaction and Finishing: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Quality Control: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Work Environment: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, in a noisy and outdoors environment.

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
• Physical Demands: Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail and excellent oral communication skills.

• Support for Newcomers and Refugees: We provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
• Work Environment: 30 to 40 hours per week, permanent work term, and English as the primary work language.
