Job Summary:

The Brock Group is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing support to our site project managers and superintendents in meeting recruitment requirements for project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the HR team to develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet business needs.
  • Process new hire paperwork for craft, overhead, and salaried employees, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation and training.
  • Gather information to support the resolution of employee relations issues, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs, providing clear and concise information.
  • Complete employee safety training and orientations, ensuring certifications are up-to-date.
  • Provide employee records to customers as required for pre-job mobilization, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Generate employee reports and provide information to support business decisions.
  • Receive and respond to phone calls and emails regarding employee complaints, payroll issues, and other inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Site-based experience considered an asset.
  • Experience in the construction industry or a related field.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with other operating groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Able to pass background checks and meet all requirements for entry to customer job sites.
