Job Summary

Ottawa Transport is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service to clients and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Logistics: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
