The Infrastructure Advisory team specializes in guiding both governmental and corporate entities through the complexities of capital project delivery. As a member of our team, you will offer your expertise in the design and execution of transformative initiatives, program strategies, and the enhancement of capital programs, ensuring project success even in challenging conditions and budget constraints. Your role will span various sectors, providing services throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, governance, procurement, and operational readiness.
Your Responsibilities
As a Manager, you will serve as an integral part of public and private sector project teams, focusing on the development and execution of intricate projects or investments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation of financial reports, business cases, and analyses related to various procurement methodologies.
- Coordinating the development of proposals for multiple simultaneous projects.
- Overseeing the creation and assessment of complex financial models.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and community consultation to define project scope and objectives.
- Contributing to the strategic planning, funding, and financial structuring of capital and infrastructure projects.
- Participating in large-scale procurements, including the development and evaluation of procurement documents.
- Advising clients on best practices for managing capital and infrastructure projects and assisting in the implementation of these strategies.
- Defining and analyzing business cases, growth strategies for capital projects, and conducting procurement options analyses.
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations for funding strategies.
- Conducting benchmarking and research on best practices and market conditions.
- Performing due diligence and detailed analyses to formulate comprehensive strategies and business plans that support client investments.
- Utilizing your exceptional writing skills to prepare reports for a wide range of assignments.
- Contributing to successful proposals and engaging in impactful client presentations.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related field, complemented by relevant practical experience.
- An MBA or Master’s degree in a pertinent discipline is advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CAPM/PMP are beneficial.
- LEAN/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Possession of Government of Canada security screening reliability status or higher is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable advisory role, consulting for public and private sector clients.
- A diverse consulting skill set, including strong presentation, stakeholder facilitation, business case development, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing abilities, with a knack for summarizing complex documents effectively.
- Proven technical and analytical skills, particularly in financial analysis and modeling.
- Familiarity with various delivery methodologies and procurement processes.
- A strong desire and capability to rapidly learn about all aspects of the infrastructure sector.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments.
- Strong financial analytical skills and an understanding of capital asset development.
- Exceptional verbal and presentation skills to interpret and compile information clearly.
- Outstanding writing skills for creating concise summaries, reports, and recommendations that deliver significant value to clients.
