Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at MASTER CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials: Conduct thorough cost estimates and material requisitions to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training: Supervise and mentor apprentices to ensure they receive the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Prepare production and other reports: Compile and submit regular reports on project progress, including production, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions: Source, recruit, and hire skilled workers to meet project demands, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: Coordinate and schedule site activities, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers: Collaborate with other project supervisors and managers to ensure seamless project execution and minimize conflicts.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules: Develop and implement strategies to meet project deadlines and schedules, while maintaining quality standards.
  • Read blueprints and drawings: Interpret and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Recommend personnel actions: Provide recommendations for personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Requisition materials and supplies: Source and procure materials and supplies necessary for project completion.
  • Supervise workers and projects: Direct and supervise workers to ensure projects are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Train or arrange for training: Provide training and development opportunities for workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work site environment: Dusty, Noisy
  • Tasks: 5-10 people
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure
  • Personal suitability: Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Team player
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Employment type: Permanent
  • Language: Anglais
  • Hours of work: 32 to 40 hours per week
