Position Summary

As an Environmental Air Quality Specialist, you will be integral to our teams engaged in regulatory compliance, emissions quantification, and reporting projects throughout Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Executing air dispersion modeling and interpreting air quality monitoring data.
  • Conducting independent analyses, interpretations, and conclusions.
  • Preparing various environmental reports, including impact assessments and emissions inventories.
  • Managing project schedules and budgets as part of financial oversight.
  • Overseeing sampling at air quality monitoring sites.
  • Performing analyses and reporting for indoor air quality assessments.
  • Adhering to established health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental consulting, particularly in air quality.
  • Experience with air quality assessments and dispersion modeling (AERMOD and CALPUFF).
  • A strong grasp of provincial and federal air quality regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions quantification and mitigation strategies is an asset.
  • Experience with ambient air quality monitoring programs is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • The ability to work independently in remote settings.
  • A degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license for travel to various job sites.
