We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting individuals who use drugs by providing practical support, guidance, and encouragement. Your work will contribute to their well-being and empower them to navigate challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer personalized assistance to individuals based on their unique needs and goals.
- Provide practical support with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.

- Create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel respected and valued.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the individual's care plan.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals who use drugs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a related field is an asset but not required.
Benefits
AVI offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Hourly rate of $31.56 with stepped increases based on seniority.
- Pension plan contributions.
- Additional 5% in lieu of vacation and stats, resulting in an effective hourly rate that is 10% higher than listed.
