Drywall and Acoustical Board Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drywall and Acoustical Board Installer Helper to join our team at Orillia Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of drywall and acoustical boards in various construction projects.
Responsibilities- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
- Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris.
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and hot environments.
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
Our team works in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with tight deadlines. You must be able to work under pressure, be accurate, dependable, flexible, and a team player.
