Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Acute Assessment Program at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide comprehensive patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition and needs, contributing to the development and implementation of therapeutic patient care and transition plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting therapeutic rapport and adherence to treatment plans
  • Document patient care and compliance with quality standards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide safe and effective patient care, adhering to PACCC standards and program-wide policies
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program
  • Certified or eligible for certification through the PACCC
  • Previous experience in acute care medicine and mental health an asset
  • Proficiency in English language; working knowledge of French language an asset
