Job Summary:

Cynet Systems is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the development and deployment of state-of-the-art audio technology solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional domain experts and vendor partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Vision and Strategy: Define the project vision and success criteria to guide and motivate all project stakeholders, ensuring that the project aligns with business strategies and new product and service offerings.
  2. Team Management: Build, manage, and maintain a team of cross-functional domain experts and vendor partners to support project delivery, ensuring that team members are motivated and accountable for their assigned work.
  3. Project Planning and Execution: Ensure that the project has well-defined, accurate, up-to-date, and visible work plans, measurable major milestones, risk registers with mitigation plans, and other key project artifacts.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality is incorporated into all project and product deliverables, including the final solution, and that quality progress reporting is provided to all levels of project stakeholders.
  5. Change Management: Clearly articulate and manage any changes using the Change Management processes during the project to Program Management, Executive Sponsors, and Operating and Steering Committees.
  6. Financial Management: Manage the project budget and provide accurate forecasting with timely identification of variances, utilizing financial change management processes to obtain funding overall and against variances.
  7. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Create and execute project communication plans to ensure that all stakeholders and project resources are aligned to program and project level goals and objectives.
  8. Best Practices and Governance: Ensure that projects employ project management best practices, tools, and disciplines, in alignment with Cynet Systems' Project Delivery Framework and governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
  9. Issue and Risk Management: Proactively identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur, and ensure that risk and issue management processes are followed.
  10. Leadership and Development: Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members, contractors, and vendor partners, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Requirements:

  1. Technical Project Management Experience: Proven experience (7+ years) as a Technical Project Manager, specifically in application and platform upgrades (i.e. OS, product, and application upgrades/modernization).
  2. Education and Certifications: A university degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities, and PMP and other certifications from Project Management Institute (PMI) are an asset.
  3. Project Management Skills: Strong Project Management skills in leading all aspects of project delivery across the project lifecycle, including project planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure.
  4. Leadership and Team Skills: Demonstrates strong team skills, especially working in cross-functional teams, and able to motivate and maintain project momentum in a dynamic environment.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including business, IT, engineering, and vendors, and demonstrates strong ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships.
  6. Technical Skills: Technology, software development, digital, and/or telecommunications experience is an asset.
