Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective public relations strategies to promote our brand and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Design and implement public relations campaigns to promote our brand and services.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.
  • Manage and respond to media inquiries and requests for information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement communications strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in public relations or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in public relations.
