Job Summary

The Director, Data Governance is a critical role at CAPREIT, responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, accessibility, and security of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a data governance framework that aligns with CAPREIT's objectives and goals.
  • Develop a data strategy that integrates with our business systems and platforms.
  • Formalize data governance committee and roles, and define responsibilities for data governance across departments.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures, and establish processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integration and quality, and develop training programs to educate employees on data governance best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Records Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with different business systems and platforms, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with ability to collaborate with different departments and stakeholders.
