About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Splunk Engineer to join our team at United Software Group Inc. as a key member of our Enterprise Observability team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance the company's Splunk installation on AWS, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Maintain and edit Splunk configuration files and apps, ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and resolve complex technical requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide engineering and administration support for large, distributed Splunk environments, including search heads, indexers, deployment servers, and forwarders.
  • Ensure compliance with software requirements and create and optimize Splunk search queries and dashboards to drive business insights.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Security, Site Reliability, and IT Operations teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Splunk in Enterprise Observability, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience as a Splunk Engineer (or 10+ years of experience without a degree).
  • 6+ years of experience administering Splunk in distributed deployments.
  • Expertise in Splunk and AWS Cloud Platforms.
  • 6+ years of experience creating Splunk search queries and dashboards.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting complex, large-scale Splunk environments.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Splunk in multi-tenant environments.
  • Strong background in system administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, performance optimization, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Expert in developing log ingestion, aggregation strategies, and onboarding data per Splunk best practices.
  • 4+ years of experience with Splunk's Common Information Model (CIM) and Enterprise Analytics.
