Truck Swamper Position

At Loadstar Dispatchers (1963) Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Truck Swamper. This position is a vital part of our operations, and we are looking for someone who can work effectively under the guidance of our picker operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the picker operator in ensuring all aspects of the load are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Work directly with the driver to load and unload equipment, and assist with the loading of float equipment.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in place prior to starting the job, and always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Obey all safety rules and regulations, as well as Loadstar Dispatchers (1963) Ltd's safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist the driver with tasks such as chaining up the truck, hooking up trailer units, and pre/post trip inspections.
  • Help secure the load and ensure it is properly checked before unloading.
  • Be aware of all machinery in the environment and give proper signals to the picker operator at all times.
  • Use lifting devices safely and effectively, and pre-check all lifting devices before use.
  • Keep a safe distance from all lifts, even when using tag lines, and maintain constant contact with the picker operator and air/motion lifts.
  • Avoid pinch points and watch for any obstructions.
