Your Role
We are seeking a seasoned Practice Leader to oversee our operations in Ontario, with responsibilities extending to various offices. In this leadership position, you will be instrumental in delivering innovative power solutions to our clients. We are looking for an individual with a proven history of securing projects, building high-performing teams, and managing large-scale energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement
- Ensure exceptional client service through effective account management and lead major client accounts.
- Meet marketing and business development goals, dedicating approximately 25% of your time to these initiatives.
- Conduct regular client feedback surveys and implement action plans based on the results.
- Lead strategic pursuits and campaigns for significant opportunities within the sector.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance client satisfaction and drive results.
- Business Development
- Contribute to winning strategies and project execution, engaging directly in key pursuits as necessary.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our client base.
- Enhance Stantec's visibility through key client interactions and marketing initiatives.
- Establish a robust Go/No Go Review process for project pursuits.
- Collaborate with other Practice Leaders to foster teamwork across various sectors.
- Project Leadership
- Oversee the delivery of significant project pursuits and ensure compliance with project management standards.
- Participate actively in major projects, contributing to technical reviews and risk management.
- Team Leadership
- Inspire and guide your team towards delivering exceptional design solutions.
- Engage with employees regularly to communicate the vision and progress of the business.
- Support talent management initiatives, including career development and succession planning.
- Manage performance and compensation in alignment with company policies.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Heavy Industrial Processes, Conventional Energy, and Renewable Energy.
- Strong understanding of the energy sector and its key players.
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on project opportunities.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams to successful project outcomes.
Education
- Degree in Electrical, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Canada.
- At least 15 years of experience in power design and project engineering.
