Position Overview

The Diversified Analog Solutions team is engaged in the development of wireless integrated circuit components and has an opportunity for a university student in the role of RF Application Engineer Co-Op. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of a Senior Application Engineer. The ideal candidate will apply robust engineering skills to various tasks related to WiFi and IoT device evaluation, as well as customer board tuning and testing, including Power Amplifiers (PA), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), switches, and Front-End Modules (FEM).

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting application engineering team members with customer assistance tasks.
  • Participating in testing activities for new integrated circuits and module products.
  • Conducting laboratory tests on RF circuits, presenting test findings, and engaging in customer schematic/layout reviews.
  • Completing small-scale projects and task assignments of varying complexity, including device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Understanding of fundamental electronic circuits and principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of quickly learning company-specific software.
  • Familiarity with RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Experience with testing equipment and tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills, with a willingness to work in a hands-on laboratory environment.
