About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team at West Coast Gifts Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts as assigned.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Purchasing teams to address inventory receiving issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a wholesale or consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP B1.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
