About the Role

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. As a CCA, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for clients
Requirements
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent certification from another province
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
