Position Overview:
The Senior Commercial Mortgage Underwriter plays a crucial role in evaluating and assessing commercial credit facilities, ensuring adherence to established lending standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis and underwriting of commercial credit applications in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
- Oversee the flow of deals to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Perform administrative tasks and generate reports to support departmental operations.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred to enhance communication capabilities.
- Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial mortgage underwriting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, backed by a post-secondary degree in business or finance.
- Exhibit proficiency in MS Office, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain a robust understanding of the commercial mortgage market, both from a business and technical perspective.
- Display exceptional organizational skills, effective time management, and strong communication abilities.
