Job Summary

Aqua Proofing Inc is seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in various tasks related to construction site operations, including loading and unloading materials, mixing and pouring concrete, and assisting in drilling and blasting rock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure proper installation
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare for foundation work
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to ensure structural integrity
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure even terrain
  • Pave and rake asphalt to create a smooth surface
  • Assist in demolishing buildings to clear land for new construction
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants to maintain a safe work environment
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to ensure a clean and safe workspace
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to maintain a safe flow of traffic
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
