Project Management Lead - Power Delivery (Hybrid)
Overview of Responsibilities
POWER Engineers Canada, Inc. is in search of a skilled Project Manager to join our Power Delivery Project Management division in Toronto. The ideal candidate will oversee both the technical and financial dimensions of Power Delivery initiatives, cultivate and enhance client relationships, and promote POWER's Power Delivery offerings to both existing and prospective clients in the area. Key responsibilities include:
Foster a positive company culture while managing relationships both internally and externally. Oversee project status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled amounts for each assignment. Collaborate effectively with project design teams. Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members. Develop and maintain project schedules, lead or participate in weekly project status meetings, manage budgets, assist in proposal development, and take a proactive role in client interactions. Identify and support regional business opportunities with potential clients in Ontario. Primarily engage with Power Delivery project teams, while also collaborating with other disciplines as necessary based on project requirements. This role will involve local travel to meet with regional clients. Demonstrated Project Management expertise should encompass CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, leading project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations.Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering management, or construction management, or a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the electric power and communications sector. At least ten (10) years of relevant industry experience. A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience. Relevant experience should include management of small to medium-scale projects and/or project lead engineering roles. Familiarity with project management processes and tools is essential. A solid understanding of power delivery infrastructure engineering is required. Proficiency in financial analysis tools within a utility context is necessary. A general understanding of power delivery infrastructure engineering is required, including experience with distribution, substations, and transmission line projects. Strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering management, or construction management is preferred. Ten years of project management experience is preferred. Familiarity with regional utilities in the area is advantageous. P.ENG registration is desired.
