We are currently in search of a BIM Coordinator (Asset Information) to contribute to a significant infrastructure project. This role will report directly to the Project and Asset Information Manager and will play a crucial part in executing the Asset Information Requirements for the project, facilitating the transition of the information model to the client, and aiding in project close-out and archiving tasks.
The BIM Coordinator will oversee asset data within the federated BIM model, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of both graphic and non-graphic data contained within the BIM models. Responsibilities will include managing digital processes throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring that 3D models, 2D drawings, and relevant asset data are consolidated into a single Integrated project information model.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and sustain a Federated model for project infrastructure in collaboration with designers and subcontractors. Oversee 3D/2D Model data in accordance with design-build information, including planning documents, asset data sheets, equipment inventories, and asset tracking. Establish and uphold the Model Breakdown Structure, ensuring model federation aligns with the Project BEP & AIR. Collaborate with designers and subcontractors to ensure effective data management, integrating all geometric models, non-geometric data, documents, and stakeholder inputs into the Asset database. Assist project teams in achieving model interoperability across all internal and external design disciplines. Create a schedule and coordinate with subcontractors for the timely upload of their respective BIM and asset data to the master Asset database. Update and manage Revit attributes in accordance with Asset data configurations. Monitor and communicate design and equipment changes, ensuring the Asset database is current. Prepare and process external datasets (e.g., Excel sheets) for effective integration into BIM databases and actively input data into the Asset database. Manage data output formats to facilitate use by other software applications. Enforce standard practices and procedures to ensure seamless data integration and flow. Implement ISO19650 standards to manage and collect data throughout design, construction, and turnover phases.Qualifications:
Diploma or degree, or a combination of academic and technical experience in Design, Construction, or Building Operations. Proven experience as a BIM Professional within the engineering, design, and construction sectors. Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is essential.
