Job Summary:
The Revenue Collection Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective collection of revenue within specific parks in a region or bundle area. This role is a key part of the RLC Park Services team, working closely with Park Managers and other stakeholders to achieve revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to ensuring the Permit area is safe, clean, and functional.
- Collect revenue from all Park Campground users, utilizing established procedures and protocols.
- Handle Discover Camping Reservations, allocating sites and registering reservation holders as needed.
- Provide information to current and potential Park users, serving as a liaison between RLC Park Services and local tourism centers.
- Collaborate with BC Parks office to inform them on campground attendance and available space.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Set up float and McBees, registering campers using the One-Write camping permit and/or self-registration envelopes and/or computer.
- Be aware of any problems and potential problem campers, refusing entry if necessary and notifying security as needed.
- Post 'Closed' sign in designated area when campground is full.
- End of shift procedures: make new float, cash out, complete daily summary, deposit money and cash-out sheet in safe, and issue refunds as necessary.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and financial transactions.
- Knowledge of Discover Camping Reservations system and ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
