About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Wesco International, Inc. As an Inside Sales Representative - Safety Solutions, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain orders through proactive selling techniques, verifying and entering items, and transferring orders to fulfillment.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to existing customers, leveraging your knowledge of our products and services.
  • Develop and qualify new business opportunities, working closely with marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance customer experience and sales efficiency.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure orders, and analyze reasons for lost orders.
  • Monitor and resolve open customer order reports, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including distribution system backorder reports and customer notifications.
  • Provide market insights, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management, informing business decisions.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven sales and sales administration experience, with a strong understanding of sales processes and administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Prospecting and marketing skills to identify new business opportunities.
