About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Top Tech Communications Corp. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
    • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
    • Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.
  • Technical Support
    • Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching system, network, associated equipment, and software.
    • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • System Installation
    • Install electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced, and the ability to work independently is essential. The successful candidate will be required to work at various locations, including on-site customer service and repair work.
