The Role: Senior Solutions Architect - Streaming & Integration

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in advising clients on strategic technical decisions and developing innovative solutions for their unique needs. You will lead discovery engagements to assess client environments, design target state architectures, and guide implementation teams through digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients during pre-sales stages, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Advise clients on best practices for implementing streaming and integration solutions.
  • Lead discovery engagements to understand client requirements, existing infrastructure, and software environments.
  • Develop comprehensive target state architectures that align with client business objectives.
  • Direct and mentor delivery/implementation teams engaged in digital transformation projects.
  • Evaluate competing technologies and make recommendations based on client needs and industry best practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the streaming and integration space.
  • Complete relevant certifications to enhance your technical skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a technology organization with significant responsibility for setting technical direction.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with limited direction, translating high-level goals into measurable milestones and delivering results.
  • Broad familiarity with Linux/Windows systems, cloud infrastructure, messaging/streaming technologies, data stores/databases, application/API design, internet and networking protocols, security architecture, version control systems, and CI/CD tools.
  • Deep understanding of Confluent and AWS offerings and their optimal utilization for delivering scale, reliability, resiliency, and resource efficiency.
  • Extensive experience with Kafka, Kstream, Ksqldb, Flink, and Kafka Connect.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code and configuration management systems (Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible, etc.).
  • Some form of programming experience.
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies, develop new skills, and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
