Job Title: On-Call Education Assistant

School District No. 48 is currently seeking on-call Education Assistants to provide support to students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the Principal(s) and general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provide assistance to students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues.
  • Support students in their daily activities, including academic and personal tasks.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
