Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in carpentry or related fields
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to assess project requirements
  • Prepare layouts in compliance with building regulations, utilizing measuring instruments
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof structures
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures
Work Environment
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks
Tools and Equipment
