Job Title: Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessment, consultation, and treatment programs for patients within various programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence
  • Collaborate with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing, and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies
  • Participate in interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports, and engage in quality improvement
  • Contribute to quality improvement and professional community through peer mentoring and supervising students
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in an adult inpatient acute care setting
  • Experience working with complex medical patient populations, including end-of-life care, chronic disease management, and dementia
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the assessment and treatment of patients within the geriatric population
  • Knowledge of community resources, equipment acquisition, continuum of care, and discharge planning
  • Mentoring Physical Therapy students and vestibular rehabilitation certificate
