Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting progress and any issues.
  • Monitor and measure work performed, to support contractor payment.
  • Support quality assurance monitoring and material sampling.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, including junior inspectors and students.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of municipal inspection experience.
  • Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology/Technologist college program, or a Civil Engineering university program.
  • Certified by OACETT, or registered with PEO as an Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient at interpreting contract documents and technical drawings.
