Job Title: Painter

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Sekhon Painting Ltd. As a Painter, you will be responsible for painting small items and applying touch-ups using paint brushes, as well as performing various tasks related to construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove litter and garbage
  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
  • Fill cavities
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements:
  • Fast-paced environment

  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is outdoors, at heights, dusty, and cold/refrigerated. Relocation costs are covered by the employer, and the job involves various locations.
