Job Title: Welder

Fibrecast Inc is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads. The work site is dusty and noisy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read blueprints, drawings, and manuals to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including brazing and soldering machines, to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
