Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement program plans that are sensitive to the diverse needs and backgrounds of children
  • Observe and record child development and behavior
  • Work in a team environment to provide a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Supervise children in free play and guide them in their physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development
  • Maintain a safe playground environment and ensure all areas are well monitored
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to child care and early years education
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution
  • Member in good standing with the College of ECEs
  • Previous experience working with infants to school-age children
  • Sensitivity and experience working with diverse communities
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent program planning and organizational skills
