We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to join our team at Acsenda School of Management as a Lecturer in Hospitality Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the area of hospitality management, providing leadership to students, and contributing to the development of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach courses in hospitality management, develop and update curriculum, and ensure courses are current with industry knowledge and best practices.
- Student Leadership and Support: Provide guidance and support to students in the hospitality management program, including mentoring and advising.
- Program Development and Administration: Contribute to the development and administration of the hospitality management program, including course scheduling, faculty supervision, and program evaluation.
- Research and Scholarship: Engage in research and scholarly activities related to hospitality management, including publishing articles and presenting at conferences.
- Service and Community Engagement: Participate in service and community engagement activities, including committee work and professional association membership.
- Education: Master's degree in hospitality management or a related field; doctoral degree preferred.
- Experience: Two years or more of teaching experience in hospitality management or a related field; five or more years of professional experience in the hospitality industry.
- Skills: Strong teaching and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and experience with curriculum development and program administration.
- Competitive Salary: $77,400-$95,000 per year.
- Benefits: Extended health, dental, group life, accidental death and disability, and long-term disability insurance; 4-day paid Christmas shutdown period; vacation pay; sick pay; and professional development program.
