Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Maple Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the installation of drywall sheets, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including cutting and fitting drywall sheets to meet specific requirements.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure high-quality installations.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability to meet the needs of our clients and team.
Work Environment

Our team works in various locations, with relocation costs covered by the employer. We offer a permanent work term with 40 hours per week, and the work language is English.
