LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is in search of a Medical Lab Technologist to contribute to our Mid Low Chemistry division.

Our Medical Lab Technologists are responsible for delivering precise and prompt diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. By ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in test results, you will play a vital role in promoting patient health and achieving improved health outcomes. This position is ideal for a meticulous, hands-on individual who excels in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

This is a casual position requiring availability for flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and nights throughout the week.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting a diverse array of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
  • Performing, interpreting, and reporting results while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Identifying incidents and non-conformities, contributing to the development of effective corrective action plans, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies.
  • Engaging in problem-solving related to work organization and workflow.

Are You a Suitable Candidate?

LifeLabs is looking for a Registered Technologist with CSMLS certification who can collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to our standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Do you possess:

  • A college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  • Problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify and address issues.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.

Compensation Range: $32.99 to $40.70

The compensation range has been established, but the final salary will be determined based on experience, educational requirements, external market conditions, and internal equity.
