About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing community visits to assess the abilities and needs of individuals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to facilitate function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess client abilities and needs, developing client-centered plans to address physical, social, cultural, institutional, and economic environmental impact on occupational performance and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare workers and other community resources to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement effective and evidence-based problem-solving and judgment to address client needs.
- Maintain professional client records and stay up-to-date with changes in practice settings that affect scope of practice.
Requirements:
- Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing).
- Accepting New Graduates Licensed.
- ADP authorization preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families.
- Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
