Position Overview: The Laboratory Services Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Laboratory Services and will be responsible for overseeing the quality management framework, as well as the development, administration, assessment, and ongoing enhancement of quality patient care services within the laboratory services domain at Software & Support Media GmbH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the laboratory by upholding accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Support corporate strategic initiatives and priorities.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and application of regulatory requirements relevant to laboratory operations.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities, including mentoring, conflict resolution, and change management.
  • Manage financial responsibilities with accountability and sound decision-making.
  • Maintain proficiency in laboratory and hospital software systems.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while fostering team collaboration.
  • Oversee Point of Care testing operations.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and manage various projects efficiently.
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six (6) years of recent clinical experience in a core laboratory environment, along with progressive leadership roles.
  • At least three (3) years of management experience, preferably within a hospital laboratory context.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Possess a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Degree or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a recognized Quality Management Program.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of quality management principles.

Additional Requirements:

  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
  • Willingness to work shifts as required.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses) is mandatory upon hire.
