Casual Early Childhood Educator Opportunity

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Casual Early Childhood Educators. As a Casual Early Childhood Educator, you will work collaboratively with teachers to deliver programs that enhance children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist children in washroom routines, dressing, and lunchtime activities
  • Physically able to assist children as required, such as stand/walk/crouch for extended periods, move/carry equipment for the program
  • Communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement educational programs
  • Provide support to children with special needs

Requirements:

  • Two-year community college diploma in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of one year of experience preferably in an educational setting
  • Certification with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation of Catholic Education and the mission of the London District Catholic School Board
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Early Learning Program, curriculum, and related legislation
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset
