About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our team at Guidepoint. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining our cutting-edge technology platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize and refactor monolithic legacy codebases using PHP and Symfony
  • Work collaboratively with product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Design and implement highly scalable and transaction-heavy API-based applications
  • Collaborate with full-stack team members on projects
  • Triage and resolve bugs with QA and application support teams
  • Work with large database schemas, including stored procedures, views, and indexes
  • Write unit tests and documentation
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience with OOP
  • 4+ years of experience with PHP
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with REST API
  • 2+ years of experience with Symfony/Frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience with Redis/Caching
  • 4+ years of experience with Linux
  • 5+ years of experience with Git
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with agile, scrum, and Atlassian
