Mechanical Specialist

Job Summary:

Matrix Camps is seeking an experienced Automotive or Commercial Transport Mechanic to support ongoing maintenance and repair of our equipment, trucks, generators, and other engine types. This is a full-time salaried position based in a dynamic and busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fleet maintenance and repair of Ford F-350/F-550, big Tex trailers, Caterpillar yard loader, Merlo zoom boom, mobile generators, snow machines, Side x Sides, ATV's, chainsaws, and core saws.
• Overhauls on Bombardier snowcat.
• Preventive maintenance schedules, component and part upgrades, corrosion control, and winterization procedures.
• Vehicle repairs, machine shop operations, adjustments, and alignments.
• Test drives, vehicle performance verification, and appearance maintenance.
• Vehicle records maintenance, shop equipment operation, and supply management.
• Daily toolbox meetings, work environment safety, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Job knowledge updates through educational opportunities and technical publications.

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Red Seal Mechanic certification.
• A minimum 3-5 years equipment care and maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
