**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada. As a key member of our Air & Naval division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive in-service support (ISS) programs and Through Life Management Plans (TLMP) for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Manage databases, research, and analyze data to provide technical assessments, recommendations, and reports to customers and program managers.
- Proposal Development: Develop proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and quotes for emergent work requests, respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and provide technical information to support quote submissions.
- Annual Operating Plan (AOP): Plan and develop an AOP for budget considerations with the Program Manager (PM) and Deputy PM.
- Information System and ERP Management: Utilize the customer's Information System and GDMS-C's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to collect, analyze, and monitor key program elements.
- Initial Baseline Review (IBR): Lead IBR configuration audit activities and create associated reports to document results in support of the TLMP.
- Program Docking Work Periods (DWPs): Provide support and influence for the planning, scheduling, and execution of program DWPs, including repairs, overhauls, and maintenance.
- Industry Partnerships: Work closely with industry partners on repair and overhaul, obsolescence management, upgrade planning, failure monitoring and analysis, and spares inventory management.
- Engineering Changes (ECs): Oversee the development of complex ECs, including upgrades to Radar Systems.
- Strategic Initiatives: Assist the PM and Deputy PM with strategic initiatives.
- Travel and Communication: Travel to Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) sites and OEM facilities to interact with customers and maintain open communications.
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Management: Support the planning, initiation, and execution of WBS, work packages, and cost accounts.
- Financial Analysis: Support program financial analysis by providing knowledgeable advice on reliability and associated risks of forecast data.
- Commercial Services and Subcontract Management: Support commercial services and subcontract management in the preparation of programmatic, financial, and technical correspondence with customers and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate others through collaborative leadership.
- Excellent analytical capacity to interpret data and link to underlying causes.
- Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment.
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, MS Project.
- Experience working with manufacturers of defense and naval and/or aerospace equipment is an asset.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
