Position Overview

We are in search of a Facility Maintenance Technician to enhance our operations. This role, reporting directly to the Facilities Supervisor, entails ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute fundamental building maintenance duties
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing challenges
  • Support various construction initiatives
  • Perform basic carpentry work
  • Maintain a record of facility-related issues and communicate with the Facilities Supervisor
  • Monitor and service air compressors and hot water systems
  • Repair and maintain doors and gates
  • Operate machinery such as bobcats and sweepers
  • Carry out snow removal operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Controlled Goods and Restricted Area Identification Card is mandatory
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance is essential
  • Familiarity with equipment operation
  • Physical capability for lifting and manual tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Availability for flexible working hours
  • Strong initiative and effective time management abilities
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Valid driver's license is required
