We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at GEODIS. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of company-occupied buildings, including troubleshooting, repairs, and scheduled maintenance based on customer needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and diagnose customer equipment problems and breakdowns
- Recommend the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
- Make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems
- Perform scheduled equipment maintenance per customer contract
- Follow all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company
- Document each service call, providing the necessary paperwork
- Maintain preventative maintenance to prevent downtime
- Keep all areas clean around equipment and maintenance cage
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lock Out - Tag Out process, and ensure hazardous waste is properly disposed
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training
- Ability to work from heights
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, conveyors, carton erector, and general maintenance
- Experience with power tools, lifts, and hoists
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Effective communicator (oral and written) with all teammates
- Excellent Microsoft systems skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
