Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively address client issues related to trade processing, fund valuation, fee calculations, and investor reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of client and investor reports with fund offering documents and service level agreements.
- Provide training and mentorship to fund and senior accountants.
- Resolve product, technical, and procedural challenges encountered by fund accountants.
- Enhance efficiency and throughput within the team by streamlining processes.
- Engage in additional tasks as assigned by your immediate manager or other SS&C management.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive experience in hedge fund/private equity fund or investment accounting.
- In-depth understanding of Canadian, U.S., and international investment characteristics, including both common and exotic investments.
- Experience with IFRS investment funds financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- A post-secondary degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
