Role Summary:

The Salesforce Development Lead is responsible for architecting and executing the core technical elements of the solution while guiding technical resources to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. This role is pivotal in mitigating technical risks by identifying design challenges early in the project lifecycle, sharing best practices for implementation, and proposing alternative solutions. The Development Lead collaborates closely with the Technical Architect to perform design and code evaluations at critical project milestones. This position demands a hands-on approach and substantial technical expertise in cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee a small team of analysts, developers, testers, or engineers, driving the delivery of specific project modules.
  2. Act as a specialist with in-depth knowledge in a specific technology or industry domain.
  3. Manage the functional and technical aspects of the project.
  4. Engage in hands-on design and development of tailored solutions on the Salesforce platform, focusing on Apex, VisualForce, and integration methodologies.
  5. Evaluate technology trade-offs and feasibility, making informed decisions that align with project constraints.
  6. Serve as the technical authority on projects involving Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  7. Design and implement technology solutions centered on cloud-based business applications.
  8. Participate in and/or supervise the development of business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, configuration, and testing.
  9. Manage release and environment processes, including sandbox planning, data migration, and version control.
  10. Collaborate directly with clients to lead projects, facilitate business process analyses, and deliver essential components of technology solutions.
  11. Provide mentorship and support to team members, including those working remotely.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Salesforce Development Lead role.
  2. Over 6 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  3. Possession of one or more current Salesforce certifications.
  4. Strong understanding of Salesforce Best Practices utilizing Apex and Visualforce.
  5. Familiarity with Salesforce Integration Patterns and experience with multiple project deployments.
