Job Summary:
Fraser Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team in a regional clinical role. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs to support the Neuroscience Network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine education priorities that meet clinical and learner needs, in collaboration with the Manager/Director.
- Develop and revise educational programs based on clinical evidence, policy, literature, and resources.
- Create supportive and interprofessional learning environments.
- Deliver learner-centered education to individual or groups of staff and patients/clients/residents/families.
- Evaluate education program effectiveness by measuring outcomes and assessing whether learning has occurred.
- Collaborate with other practice leaders to provide leadership, consultation, and performance support to clinical staff.
- Support staff to plan and carry out patient/client/resident/family education about discharge planning, illness prevention, and health maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, participate on designated professional or operational committees.
Qualifications:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three (3) years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year of education and/or leadership experience.
- Completion of postgraduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes, as required.
