Facility Attendant Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Facility Attendant to join our team at the City of Abbotsford. As a key member of our Parks, Recreation and Culture department, you will play a vital role in maintaining effective relationships with patrons, ensuring facility rules and procedures are followed, and performing various tasks related to arena operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor ice traffic control and safety, issuing and retrieving rental skates as needed
  • Respond to patron inquiries and requests, providing excellent customer service
  • Support program set up and take down, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for patrons
  • Oversee site organization and cleanliness, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 education
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C (infant/child/adult) certificate
  • Intermediate skating skills, including the ability to skate forwards, backwards, stop, crossover, and assist patrons on and off the ice
Work Schedule:

Available shifts include:

  • Sunday: 11:30am - 3:30pm
  • Monday: 9:30am - 3:30pm
  • Tuesday: 9:30am - 3:30pm
  • Wednesday: 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Compensation:

This part-time position is unionized, with an hourly rate of pay from $17.40 to $20.08.
